Tan Kok Tee, a Fellow member of the Association of International Accountants (FAIA), UK), Professional Member of the Malaysian Association of Company Sercretaries, Associate Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia also holds a MBA-Finance from Charles Sturt University, Australia. He is also a Certified/Approved Trainer with HRDF – Ministry of Human Resource Malaysia and a GST registered Agent with the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. Other memberships include a life member of the Malaysian Institute of Directors.
Tan Kok Tee has got more than 40 years of working experience at Financial, Strategic and General Management level. He has worked and been involved in numerous industries, including manufacturing, marketing and distribution, casino and services. He has held a variety of leadership and senior management roles in various organizations.
He has been working as a Management Consultant, Consulting Chief Financial Officer, CFO, Group Assets Performance Management Manager, Business Process Management Consultant, General Manager, Senior General Manager and Group CEO in numerous companies along the way of his career in multinationals and local public listed companies. The last position he performed as an employee was as a Consulting CFO to Coach and Mentor the owner of a group of companies two children in their succession plan implementation.
Tan Kok Tee retired from full time employment at age of 52 and since then he has been engaged as Management Consultant, Corporate Advisor and GST Advisor.
Tan Kok Tee has also facilitated and conducted various training workshops for both in house as well as public, including Government Authorities, Negeri Sembilan Skill Development Centre, Selangor Human Resource Development Centre, Chamber of Commerce, GLCs and Banks. To-date, Mr. Tan has facilitated more than 200 training workshops throughout Malaysia, in Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam.
He also developed and delivered an Entrepreneurship programme designed specially for MBA students from GC University, Pakistan in collaboration with Sunway Education Group for 5 years and was also an assessor for the UTAR’s NGO strategic planning programme and a speaker for the Asian Financial Controller’s Congress in 2009, 2010.
