What's New - 4th August 2010

Member profiles: we have made a major change to the display of user profiles in this release as a first step to improve intuitiveness and move the service to have an integrated social network facility. Members' profiles are still accessible by clicking the name in the top right hand corner of every page. However, these can now be more easily reached by clicking on the Network tab.

Beneath the Network tab the functions have been completely re-designed and re-organised along the lines of a social media site. Members can now create and amend their profile, career and interests plus display their websites and view their current subscription process.  The Fit for the Future? survey has also been placed here so that private clients have direct access.

Lastly, we have begun an experiment in helping members perceive how they intuit and reason versus other members and how their cognitive style influences their thinking about the future.

At this stage members can only rank themselves but in an upcoming development they will be able to visually see their style versus others.

Members can choose who to display their profile too and be assured that their individual cognitive style is never shared with others except in the aggregate.
Access to the NING Foresight Network has been moved under the left-hand nav bar Networking flash and Foresight Resources under Custom Services - Education.

Ethnography studies
We are now offering an ethnographic futures studies service for members. Find it under Custom services - Research.

Foresight glossary
We have posted a new and comprehensive Foresight Glossary under the Custom Services - Education button which we believe was sadly lacking elsewhere.

Site design: a number of design improvements have been made including the addition of left-hand nav bar icons matching, where appropriate, its counterpart in the centre panel. We have also removed our experiment with the 'Like/Unlike' toggle due to low use and re-ordered the left-hand and centre panel buttons to reflect a consistent order.
